What is a podcast?
A podcast is a special feed which will automatically download new audio recordings to your computer as they become available. These recordings can then be placed on your iPod or other portable music player to listen to anytime.
How to listen to a podcast
To listen to PIMCO’s Podcast, you’ll need iTunes 4.9 or higher. You can download the latest version of iTunes from www.itunes.com. Once you have iTunes installed on your computer, follow the step-by-step instructions below.
Step by step instructions:
- Click the "Subscribe to Podcast" button on the upper right corner of the current Investment Outlook.
- iTunes will open the iTunes music store to PIMCO’s podcast page. Click the subscribe button in the top panel.
- The latest edition of the Investment Outlook will begin downloading to your hard drive. You can then listen to it through iTunes, or load it onto a portable music device such as an iPod for listening anytime.
- iTunes will check periodically for new editions of the Investment Outlook. Whenever a new edition is available it will automatically download into your iTunes library.
Notes:
- You may be directed to a page that asks if you have iTunes; if so click "I have iTunes."
- You may be alerted that an external application must be launched; if so click "OK" or "Launch Application."
- There may be a delay after clicking "Subscribe to Podcast" while your computer opens iTunes, this is normal.
- To unsubscribe, click the Podcasts icon on the left side of iTunes and delete the Investment Outlook entry on the right.
